If you’ve visited Orange and thought that you didn’t want to leave, now’s a great time to get serious

Move to Orange

According to recent research by the Regional Australia Institute http://www.regionalaustralia.org.au/home/ one in five city residents are looking to move to the regions; with more than half wanting to make the jump within the next 12 months. This strong and growing attraction to a regional life is not just about escaping COVID:

  • 70% rated traffic congestion and resulting commute time as a major factor

  • 68% wanted to reduce their cost of living – take a look at how much quicker you can pay off a mortgage http://www.regionalaustralia.org.au/home/move/

  • 77% ticked both space and nature as reasons to shift

  • 75% desired improved wellbeing which a regional life offers

Orange has been attracting professionals and skilled workers from the city for years but we’re experiencing unprecedented levels of interest and numbers of regional businesses being flexible to accommodate a transition from city to country. Skillsets in demand right now include:

  • Accounting

  • Engineering and Town Planning

  • Administration – both general and specialist such as procurement, finance & payroll

  • Mental Health

  • Qualified Trades and Skilled Labour

  • Technology and Systems

  • Hospitality

A move like this is not just about finding a place you can call home, it’s also about finding the right career opportunities and the right workplace culture.

Spinifex Recruiting is launching a ‘Regional NSW Talent Gateway’ campaign to help job seekers connect with employers who want to attract specific skills to drive their business and the region forward.

The campaign will start off with a focus on the Orange region, in partnership with Orange360, Think Orange and Orange VIP.

Together, we can help you make local connections and get local knowledge about workplaces, communities and the lifestyle on offer.

So, if you want to get serious about exploring the career and lifestyle opportunities in regional NSW, here’s your invitation to join us and take a look at Orange.

We’d love to see you there. Just RSVP to do@spinifexrecruiting.com.au, by 5 May 2021.
