The Orange Chamber Music Festival is a world-class Art Music event of the Central West, featuring a stellar line up of international artists supported by established Australian ensembles, domestic and local artists within a variety of locations, ranging from the concert stage to cellar doors and hatted restaurants.

Festival Gala: Opus.her - Orange Chamber Music Festival

Opus.her is a celebration of women creatives, represented by a fine selection of Australian solo and orchestral artists, combining in an immersive tribute-like performance. Weaving together archival footage, narrative and melody, virtuoso pianist Sonya Lifschitz and composer Robert Davidson create a series of musical portraits spanning centuries of female leaders, scientists and artists.

The concept of watercolours surrounds the interaction between music and visual arts, as well as playing on the three musicians’ local connection to Orange, a town where colour has fascinated residents and visitors since its naming. Join the Vermillion Trio, a collective of local musicians David Shaw (flute), Stephanie Li (cello) and Luke Moxey (piano) for this colourful concert.
