Welome to Mandurama
Mandurama, situated in Blayney Shire, acts as a service hub for the surrounding agricultural region, known for its beautiful homesteads. Established in 1825 by Thomas Icely, who named it after a Wiradjuri word meaning 'waterhole,' the town grew from his original 5,000-acre property, Coombing Park, which still stands today as a private homestead with historically significant artifacts.
The town's streets reflect its agricultural heritage, named after original orchards like Olive, Cherry, Peach, and Loquat Streets. The Royal Hotel, or Mandurama pub, is an iconic venue featuring a grand balcony, intricate iron latticework, and regular live music nights that capture the essence of a true country pub. Other well-preserved buildings include the Masonic Hall, local bank, and churches.
Mandurama is a favourite stop for cyclists, located along a scenic route and part of the Orange Villages Bicycle Trail.
