Wendy Smith, Curator at the Olde Bridge Gallery.
Wendy is a photographer who has lived in Newbridge for 30 years and has operated the Olde Bridge Gallery since October 2017.
Describing Newbridge as a picturesque village brimming with history, Wendy encourages you to stop and take in a breath of fresh air, whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery and general peace of this serene rural area.
The Olde Bridge Gallery which she operates in the heart of Newbridge, in a lovingly restored 1850's building is a place where visitors can spend a few moments, or longer, enjoying the work of artists whose art is always unique and never mass produced. The display includes photography, metalwork, pottery, leadlight, papercraft, jewellery, handcrafted chocolate, pastels and traditional oil paintings as well as various exhibitions throughout the year.
Meeting visitors and being able to showcase a truely diverse range of artwork and stunning local crafts, that would not be out of place in a large metropolitan city, is a highlight of Wendy's time at the gallery.
