Located in the heart of Blayney, just 30 minutes from Orange and Bathurst, A Thousand Words Gallery offers visitors an inspiring and immersive experience. Dedicated to showcasing the transformative power of art, the gallery is a space where stories are told through creativity, inviting connection, emotion, and reflection.

The gallery opens with Here We Are, an exhibition that marks the physical emergence of A Thousand Words Gallery while reflecting the environment we live in and the times we are navigating.

What stories will you encounter?

Visitors will be captivated by the stories told through a variety of mediums: the warmth of wood, the strength of paper, the movement of wool and feathers, golden threads, and the unfinished business of creative expression. From joyous and sparkling tales of intrigue to reflections on family, land, and transient moments, the exhibition explores narratives that are both personal and universal—constructed, conscious, vulnerable, and brave.

Here We Are features works by 11 contemporary Australian artists, each telling their own story. Some are established voices in the art world, while others are just beginning to share their journeys. Together, they embody the dynamic and diverse landscape of Australian art today.
