A Gravel Adventure Like No Other

An unforgettable gravel cycling experience that celebrates the beauty of the region's gravel roads and stunning scenery.

We are thrilled to announce The Orange Region’ first-ever GoodnessGravel event, set to take place, Saturday, March 16, 2024. An unforgettable gravel cycling experience that celebrates the beauty of the region's gravel roads and stunning scenery.

Cyclists participating in the GoodnessGravel event will have the opportunity to explore the breathtaking Shires of Orange and neighbouring Cabonne Council, traversing through sections of State Forest and National Park areas en route to the majestic Gaanha-Bula (Mount Canobolas), standing tall at 1,397 meters. Riders can choose between two distinct courses, catering to varying skill levels and preferences: a challenging 125km route with over 2,400 meters of ascent, or a shorter yet equally scenic 65km route with over 1,650 meters of ascent.

Unparalleled Support and Amenities

GoodnessGravel ensure rider safety and comfort are paramount. All courses are meticulously signposted and supported by dedicated medical and mechanical mobile services, ensuring a smooth and worry-free experience for participants. Upon registration, riders will receive a complimentary "good(ness) bag," featuring a reusable beeswax-dipped rider plate and a course "mankie" (map + hanky) for navigation.

Throughout the event, riders can rejuvenate at dedicated rest stops stocked with top-tier cycling nutrition, including energy-boosting snacks and hydration stations. Local musicians will serenade participants, adding to the vibrant atmosphere as riders refuel and recharge for the journey ahead.

Celebratory Finish at Lake Canobolas

As riders triumphantly return to the picturesque Lake Canobolas, they will be greeted with a warm reception and well-deserved rewards. Each participant will receive a commemorative finisher's pin and indulge in a delicious sausage sandwich and refreshing beverage courtesy of the Lakeside Kiosk and Café.
