Hive Grove is a vibrant boutique nestled in the heritage heart of Millthorpe Village, offering homewares, fashion, accessories, gifts, custom-designed mats, and locally grown flowers. It’s all about color, creativity, and style.
More than four years ago, founder Gwenda began making custom mats from her kitchen table in Orange, NSW. What started as a creative outlet quickly blossomed into a full-fledged business. Inspired by her love of bees, Gwenda launched Busy Bee Creative Hive, an online shop connecting clients with hand-painted, artisanal mat designs.
With growing support locally, nationally, and internationally, Gwenda's kitchen startup expanded beyond the walls of her home. This success led to the opening of Hive Grove in Millthorpe, a bricks-and-mortar store that now showcases her mats alongside a carefully curated selection of fashion, homewares, and gifts.
Hive Grove is an homage to Gwenda's creative journey and the history of Millthorpe, which was formerly known as Spring Grove. The name 'Hive' celebrates the legacy of Busy Bee Creative Hive, while 'Grove' honors the village’s rich past. Today, Hive Grove continues to thrive as a beloved boutique, blending old-world charm with new creative ventures, and offering a welcoming experience to locals and visitors alike.
